The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for Thursday, Oct. 17th, due to sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27.
The Freeze Watch is in effect for late Thursday, Oct. 17th, through Friday morning, Oct. 18th, and affects the Western Magic Valley, Lower Treasure Valley ID, and Upper Treasure Valley.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
