General Contest Rules and Promotion Policy

Effective Date: July 17th, 2026

These General Contest Rules ("General Rules") apply to all contests, sweepstakes, promotions, giveaways, and prize drawings ("Contest(s)") conducted by Lee Family Broadcasting, Inc. ("LFB") unless otherwise stated in official rules for a specific Contest. By participating in any Contest conducted by LFB, participants agree to abide by these General Rules as well as any Contest-specific rules announced on-air, published online, or otherwise provided.

These General Rules apply to the following stations operated by Lee Family Broadcasting, Inc.:

  • 103.1 The Edge
  • Hot 100 FM
  • Kat Kountry 106
  • 94.7 Buck FM
  • AM 1230 KBAR
  • 99.1 La Perrona
  • Mega 97.5
  • 100.5 Balanced Rock

2. Listening Area

Unless otherwise stated, all Contests are intended for listeners residing within Southern Idaho.

3. Eligibility

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Participants must be legal residents of the State of Idaho.
  • Employees of Lee Family Broadcasting, Inc., its affiliated companies, advertisers, promotional agencies, prize providers, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) or persons living in the same household are not eligible.
  • LFB reserves the right to require proof of eligibility.

4. Winner Limitations

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Limit one (1) prize per household during any thirty (30) day period.
  • A household is defined as individuals residing at the same physical address.
  • LFB reserves the right to establish longer waiting periods for major prizes or high-value promotions.

5. Contest Types

These General Rules apply to promotions including, but not limited to:

  • Call-in contests
  • Cue-to-call contests
  • Text-to-win promotions
  • Online entry contests
  • Mobile app contests
  • Social media contests
  • Secret sound contests
  • Cash contests
  • On-location promotions
  • Random drawings
  • Listener appreciation giveaways
  • Grand prize drawings
  • Instant win promotions
  • Any other promotional contest conducted by LFB

6. Entry Rules

Participants may enter only by methods described in each Contest's official rules.

Entries obtained through any unauthorized method may be disqualified.

Examples of prohibited conduct include:

  • Automated entries
  • Bots or artificial entry services
  • Multiple accounts
  • False identities
  • Tampering with Contest systems
  • Attempts to interfere with Contest administration

LFB reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of violating these rules.

7. Call-In Contests

For telephone contests:

  • Caller number requirements will be announced for each Contest.
  • Decisions regarding which caller qualifies are final.
  • Telephone system delays may occur.
  • LFB is not responsible for busy signals, dropped calls, technical failures, poor cellular service, or telephone equipment malfunctions.

8. Text Message Contests

Standard message and data rates may apply.

Participants are responsible for all charges imposed by their wireless provider.

LFB is not responsible for:

  • Delayed messages
  • Undelivered messages
  • Carrier outages
  • Network failures
  • Incorrectly formatted entries

9. Online Entries

Online contests may require completion of an official entry form.

Only one entry per person unless otherwise stated.

LFB is not responsible for:

  • Internet interruptions
  • Server failures
  • Browser incompatibility
  • Lost transmissions
  • Incomplete submissions

10. Social Media Promotions

Contests conducted through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, or other social media platforms are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with those platforms.

Participants release those platforms from any liability associated with participation.

11. Prize Rules

Unless otherwise stated:

  • No cash substitution.
  • No transfers.
  • No exchanges.
  • No refunds.
  • Prizes have no cash value unless specifically stated.
  • LFB reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary.

Prize values are approximate.

Actual retail value may vary.

12. Prize Pickup

Prize redemption procedures may vary by Contest.

Unless otherwise stated:

Prizes may:

  • Be picked up at designated Lee Family Broadcasting offices;
  • Be mailed to verified winners when appropriate; or
  • Be delivered by another method described in Contest-specific rules.

Government-issued photo identification may be required.

LFB may require winners to complete prize claim documentation before prizes are released.

13. Unclaimed Prizes

Any prize not claimed within thirty (30) days of notification shall be forfeited.

LFB has no obligation to award forfeited prizes.

14. Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.

Prizes valued at amounts requiring tax reporting will require completion of all necessary IRS forms before delivery.

15. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend upon:

  • Number of eligible participants;
  • Number of eligible entries; and
  • Contest format.

16. Publicity Release

By accepting a prize, winners agree that Lee Family Broadcasting may use their:

  • Name
  • City of residence
  • Photograph
  • Voice
  • Video
  • Likeness
  • Statements regarding the Contest

for advertising, promotional, broadcast, online, and social media purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.

17. Technical Issues

LFB assumes no responsibility for failures involving:

  • Telephone equipment
  • Cellular providers
  • Internet providers
  • Computer systems
  • Mobile applications
  • Social media platforms
  • Email delivery
  • Text messaging services
  • Website outages
  • Electrical interruptions
  • Human error

If technical difficulties compromise Contest integrity, LFB reserves the right to suspend, modify, restart, or terminate the Contest.

18. Fraud Prevention

Any attempt to manipulate or improperly influence a Contest may result in:

  • Immediate disqualification
  • Permanent ineligibility from future Contests
  • Referral to law enforcement when appropriate

19. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Entries

Unless expressly authorized, entries created or submitted using automated software, bots, scripts, artificial intelligence systems acting without meaningful human participation, or other automated methods intended to circumvent Contest rules are prohibited.

LFB reserves the right to investigate suspicious entries and disqualify participants engaging in fraudulent activity.

20. Contest Decisions

All decisions made by Lee Family Broadcasting regarding:

  • Eligibility
  • Contest administration
  • Rule interpretation
  • Winner selection
  • Prize awards

are final.

21. Prize Acceptance

Acceptance of any prize constitutes agreement that:

  • The prize is accepted "as is";
  • LFB makes no warranties regarding any prize;
  • Any warranty is solely that of the manufacturer or provider.

22. Release of Liability

Participants release and hold harmless Lee Family Broadcasting, Inc., its employees, officers, directors, affiliates, sponsors, advertisers, and promotional partners from any liability arising from participation in any Contest or acceptance or use of any prize.

23. Force Majeure

LFB shall not be liable for cancellation, postponement, modification, or interruption of any Contest resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Acts of God
  • Power failures
  • Internet outages
  • Government action
  • Public health emergencies
  • Civil disturbances
  • Equipment failures

24. FCC Compliance

Lee Family Broadcasting conducts all contests in accordance with applicable Federal Communications Commission (FCC) contest regulations. Material terms of each Contest will be disclosed through on-air announcements, station websites, official contest pages, or other appropriate means. Each Contest will be conducted substantially as announced or advertised.

25. Privacy

Information collected during Contest participation may be used for:

  • Contest administration
  • Prize fulfillment
  • Verification of eligibility
  • Communication with winners
  • Marketing communications where permitted by law or with participant consent

LFB does not sell personal information collected solely for Contest administration.

26. Governing Law

These General Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of Idaho.

Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located within the State of Idaho.

27. Rule Changes

Lee Family Broadcasting reserves the right to amend, suspend, or modify these General Rules at any time without prior notice, provided that any changes shall not materially affect a Contest already in progress unless required by law or necessary to preserve the integrity of the Contest.

28. Acceptance of Rules

Participation in any Contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these General Rules and any Contest-specific Official Rules.

Failure to comply with these Rules may result in immediate disqualification.

Contest-Specific Rules

Each Contest conducted by Lee Family Broadcasting may establish additional rules, including but not limited to:

  • Contest name
  • Contest period
  • Entry method
  • Winner selection process
  • Prize description
  • Prize value
  • Prize pickup instructions
  • Special eligibility requirements
  • Sponsor information
  • Additional restrictions

In the event of a conflict between these General Rules and Contest-specific Official Rules, the Contest-specific Official Rules shall govern.
